Robert Blake (born September 18, 1933) is a retired American actor, having starring roles in the film In Cold Blood and the U.S. television series Baretta.
Blake began performing as a child, with a lead role in the final years of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's Our Gang (Little Rascals) short film series from 1939 to 1944. He also appeared as a child actor in 22 entries of the Red Ryder film franchise. In the Red Ryder series and in many of his other roles as an adult, he was cast as a Native American or Latino character.
Blake was born Michael James Gubitosi in Nutley, New Jersey.

Sumner Redstone appeared to take the upper hand in defending a lawsuit challenging his mental competency on Friday, as a judge called Redstone's deposition "strong evidence" that the media mogul knew what he was doing when he ejected an ex-girlfriend from his life.
The woman, Manuela Herzer, is suing Redstone over her removal in October as the billionaire's designated health care agent, arguing that Redstone was not mentally competent at the time he made the decision. Redstone's lawyers say he has difficulty speaking but is mentally fit. (See the players involved in the trial: http://tmsnrt.rs/1Ydyb3I)
At the first day of trial on Friday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Cowan reviewed Redstone's video deposition privately, and a written transcript was publicly released. In it, Redstone said Herzer stole from him and he repeatedly called her a "fucking bitch."
Asked by Redstone's lawyer who should make his health care decisions if he no longer could, the 92-year old former chairman of Viacom and CBS named his daughter, Shari, who is herself a board member at both companies.
A Turkish court on Friday sentenced a prominent journalist to more than five years in prison hours after he escaped an attack by a gunman in a trial sharply criticized by international observers.
The Istanbul court found Cumhuriyet newspaper's editor-in-chief Can Dundar guilty of revealing state secrets and sentenced him to five years and 10 months in prison. His colleague, the paper's Ankara representative Erdem Gul, was sentenced to five years behind bars for the same charge.
The case, which is widely viewed as a test for press freedom in Turkey, relates to the pair's reports on alleged government arms smuggling to Syria. The journalists were expected to appeal the verdict and remain free until the end of the appeals process.
Earlier Friday, a gunman shouting "traitor" fired two shots at Dundar outside the courthouse. Dundar escaped unharmed, but Yagiz Senkal, a journalist working for private NTV television was injured in the leg.
"Today we lived through two assassination attempts," Dundar told reporters after the verdict. "One was armed, the second was judicial."

Students who join Harvard's male-only social clubs won't be able to serve as sports captains or leaders of other campus groups starting in fall 2017.
The new policy, announced Friday by Harvard's first female president, also applies to other unofficial single-gender groups on campus, including fraternities and sororities. Top officials at the university have been pushing those groups to stop excluding students based on gender even though they aren't officially recognized by the school.
Harvard President Drew Faust said in a statement that while the school has opened its doors to women and minorities, the campus culture has lagged behind.
Under the new policy, students who join single-gender groups will also be prohibited from getting the dean's endorsement for scholarships. The rule will apply to all new students starting with the freshman class entering in the fall of 2017. It won't affect the 10,000 undergraduates already on campus or those coming this fall.
Harvard's male-only social groups, known as final clubs, have come under intense scrutiny in recent years. The university reported in March that among female seniors who interacted socially with the clubs, 47 percent had experienced nonconsensual sexual contact. The report accused club members of having a "sense of sexual entitlement."
A Florida gun activist accidentally shot by her four-year-old son in March has agreed to deliver speeches about gun safety as part of a deal to avoid prosecution, officials said Friday.
Jamie Gilt, 31, agreed with prosecutors to avoid a charge of negligence if she also completes a gun safety course, installs a mounted holster in her vehicle and provides proof of safe storage of firearms in her home, the state attorney's office said in a statement.
The deal specifies that she must give 10 speeches about the March 8 shooting and the need to safely secure firearms, although the authorities did not indicate where.
Gilt, who had boasted online about her toddler's shooting prowess, was cruising down a major thoroughfare with her son in the back seat when he shot her on March 8. The bullet went through the seat cushion.
The weapon was a .45-caliber handgun the boy found on the floor of the pickup truck.

Donald Trump will testify after the presidential election on a class-action lawsuit that accuses the billionaire businessman and his now-defunct Trump University of defrauding people who paid up to $35,000 for real estate seminars.
A federal judge in San Diego on Friday set a Nov. 28 trial. Trump lawyer Daniel Petrocelli says the presumptive GOP nominee plans to attend most, if not all, of trial and will take the witness stand.
The lawsuit is one of three that accuse Trump University of fleecing students with unfulfilled promises to teach secrets of success in real estate.
Trump's attorneys resisted the idea bringing the six-year-old case to trial while the real estate mogul was in the race. Plaintiffs had suggested a June trial.

North Carolina's prized public universities risk losing more than $1.4 billion a year in federal funds if Republican state lawmakers don't change a new law limiting the rights of LGBT people.
The U.S. Justice Department wants University of North Carolina officials to say by Monday that transgender people can use UNC restrooms aligning with their gender identity. The government says the universities and other state agencies are violating federal anti-discrimination laws.
UNC President Margaret Spellings has said that while public universities would comply with the law, she hopes legislators change it.
North Carolina's Republican leaders are calling a federal warning about the legality of the state's new law limiting LGBT anti-discrimination rules a broad overreach by the government.

Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore - ousted from office more than a decade ago over a Ten Commandments display - now faces possible removal from the bench over his effort to block gay marriage from coming to that state after the U.S. Supreme Court effectively legalized same-sex marriage nationwide.
The Alabama Judicial Inquiry Commission on Friday filed ethics charges against Moore, saying that the state chief justice abused the power of his office and displayed disrespect for the judiciary. Moore, 69, has been automatically suspended from the bench until there is a resolution.
The charges stem from a Jan. 6 administrative order Moore sent to probate judges telling them an Alabama court order and law banning same-sex marriages remained in full force and effect even though the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Obergefell v. Hodges effectively legalized gay marriage six months prior.
The chief justice's order to probate judges also came even though a federal judge had enjoined probate judges from enforcing Alabama's same-sex marriage ban, the commission wrote.
The Court of the Judiciary will decide whether Moore is guilty of violating judicial ethics. If found guilty, he could face removal from office.
