The Complete List

Creative Arts Emmy Awards

On a night when “Behind the Candelabra” dominated, Bob Newhart won the first Emmy of his 50-year career; Carrie Preston, Melissa Leo, Dan Bugatinsky won guest acting awards

Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn were named Outstanding Reality Show Hosts at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Sunday, while “Undercover Boss” was named Outstanding Reality Program.

“The Kennedy Center Honors” was named Outstanding Variety Special, the 11th Emmy win for George Stevens.

Bob Newhart has won the first Emmy of his more than 50-year career, for his guest role on “The Big Bang Theory.”

Newhart won the award on his seventh nomination, at Sunday’s Primetime Creative Arts Emmys show.

Other guest actor and actress awards went to Carrie Preston for “The Good Wife,” Melissa Leo for “Louie” and Dan Bugatinsky for “Scandal” at the Primetime Creative Arts Emmys, which is taking place at the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.

Lily Tomlin also won her fifth Emmy Award, and her first in 32 years, for her narration of the HBO film “An Apology to Elephants.”

Steven Soderbergh’s “Behind the Candelabra” was the show’s awards juggernaut, winning the first eight categories in which it was nominated before finally losing the cinematography award to “Top of the Lake.” HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire” also performed strongly, winning for art direction, hairstyling and sound editing.

An edited version of the Creative Arts Emmys will be broadcast on the FXX Network on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, with an encore airing at midnight.
